HEX-a-grip
A collaborative Fixperts project aimed at using design skills to help someone with a disability or additional needs.
This project was designed for a woman called Elizabeth. Elizabeth had very bad Arthritis in her hands which made it very difficult to open jars, bottles and other lids. As she has a passion for jam making we wanted to make her a useful tool that could assist her with this task.
The final product was a silicon hexagon with multiple sized openings that allowed her to have extra grip around various lids.
the Hex-a-Grip was also personalised to Elizabeth so it could hold her utensils whilst making her jam.
