GreenPipe
Greenpipe is a water collection and filtration panel system that replaces traditional downpipes.
The system simply attaches to the gutter on the roofline of the building and directs the water through the root system of the plants that are growing on the panels. This means that there is no need for plastic, energy-consuming pump irrigation systems.
The redirection and usage of some of the water means that less water goes directly into the drain systems, reducing flooding in waterlogged areas.
Water that is not taken up by the plants in the GreenPipe system, is collected at the bottom, having been filtered by the roots, in a water butt, to be used for watering other plants or potentially in the home for grey water usage.
